The Story:

Before this project was a thought I had posted an ambient sketch to instagram and it wasn't long before Noises of the Pines asked me to send the track his way. A concept began to form in my mind and I contacted various IG friends from around the world asking them to add their touch to the original - a compilation of duets, so to speak.
The album begins with my track, a personal viewpoint on this time in history, and each subsequent track is a representation of being in this pandemic together with our different viewpoints but still having a shared human experience. This shared experience is represented by the original track which every other track plays off of.
The tracks are named after a street in the guest artist's city.
These are tough and interesting days. We are not seeing the same exact scene in our various locations but at the core we all in this together and will make it through together. There is hope. There is beauty in the empty streets.

Another reason for the album name is due to the use of the "Empty Streets' preset from the Empress Effects ZOIA. The preset was created by musician Benn Jordan. This preset is where the musical inspiration began for me.
